Kenya Gichuka

We got this coffee in to show just how interesting washed process coffees can be. It’s from Kenya, the one in Africa. And it’s got really clean, bright flavours. Blackcurrant, sour cherries, fig and dark chocolate.

This one feels like a bit of a side-step from our recent run of single origins, that have all been naturally processed, had a wildness to them, and a sweet jammy tone. But that’s the point. Thought washed coffee was boring? Think again. We brought this one into the running because it’s one of the best washed process coffees we’ve had in a while. It stands out, is clean, bright, has fruit tones running all over it, but still manages to feel restrained, controlled and crazzzzy tasty.
