This is probably one of the most prolific and highly lauded filter coffee machines going. Coffee roasters and baristas all over the planet have been turning to this thing since 1968 - and for good reason. The Moccamaster has a solid reputation for brewing an absolute benchmark when it comes to pots of filter coffee.

The machine uses a copper heating element and runs an optimal brewing temperature of between 92˚C and 96ºC. Below this temperature, and the coffee can become sour, and brewed too hot it can bring out bitterness, so keeping the brew temp between these two markers means you get the perfect cup of coffee – and the Moccamaster has a decades long rep of doing this seamlessly.

It brews a full pot (1.25litres) in just six minutes, and will keep your pot warm on the hot plate, but will auto-switch off for safety after 40 minutes. Don’t want a full pot? Also fine.Just top it up to brew as many cups as you want.
