Wiping Down: Catching up with Ellie at BH24
Ellie runs the ship over at Bakehouse24, overseeing all their sites. We managed to steal a few moments with her between shifts to find out some insider hacks (get me the marshmallows), what’s getting airtime on her Spotify, and some info on their pizza nights. Here we go…
You get the pick of the lot, so what’s your go-to order, the thing you grab the most from the counter?
It's a Lemon Financier - the darker the better for the chew. Then again if you asked the team, on the days where nothing else will do it's an Oat & Pecan cookie bar with two of our marshmallows on top and whacked in the microwave for 20 seconds. Life changing!
What’s your favourite Saturday special from the archives?
Many moons ago we did our own Sausage, bean & cheese slice and not a day goes by I don't think about it...

It’s your night off, and you’re going out - where you heading, what you ordering?
I live in Southbourne and I am so incredibly lucky to have DoughJoe Pizza basically at the end of my road. Their Marmite pizza is another level - a must try.
Speaking of which, your pizza nights are back, will they be on throughout the summer?
They are! We'll kick off on Thursday 2nd April, and our plan is absolutely to have them as a regular fixture through the summer. We missed holding them, and we know they've been missed by customers too so we're really excited to have them back.
